Frank Lloyd Wright… ‘Millard Monday’

Driving through Pasadena with my friend David after a round of disc golf, we decided to enlighten our more sophisticated side and glance at some of or nations greatest architecture.  That was a mouthful. We were delighted to find the “Millard House” for sale, and the grounds were empty.  Seeing how I am in the market for a new home, I decided to peruse the property.

Frank Lloyd Wright’s “Millard House” also known as La Miniatura, is a textile block house  built in 1923 in Pasadena, California. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1976.

This miniature castle is nestled deep in the suburbia of Pasadena, yet still holds a tranquil paradise not found very often in LA county.

The house is currently for sale ladies and gentlemen for a modest 4.5 million dollars.  If we all chip in, we may be able to afford the landscaping!
